Opening in October, 2003, Midwest Dance Explosion has quickly become a leader in dance education in the Lincoln and St. Charles County area, receiving the 2009 Best of Troy award in the dance studio category for outstanding service.

 

At MDE, our philosophy is learning through performance.  We support the community by performing in area events such as the Pumpkin Festival, Lincoln County Fair, Relay For Life, nursing homes and several other events during the year.  We allow ALL students to take part in several community performances as well as our annual recital. 

 

We are firm believers that dance lessons are life lessons that extend way beyond the traditional dance class.  Discipline, leadership, respect, building self confidence, respect, teamwork, and friendship are among several important values students learn through dancing.  Character development in our students is vitally important to our staff.  Therefore, we NEVER ask students to dance older than they are.  All costumes, music and movement are kept tasteful and appropriate in both the classroom and all performances.
